Rock Creek Park Golf Course
Rock Creek Park Golf Course is a beautiful18-hole golf course in Washington, DC. Langston Legacy Golf Course

A historic golf retreat in Washington, DC, Langston Legacy is a beautiful 18-hole parkland course with magnificent vistas of the Anacostia River. Named after John Mercer Langston, first black congressman from Virginia, Langston Legacy GC was opened in 1939 as a facility for African-American golfers. With its 67-year history, the course is symbolic of the desegregation of public golfing facilities in the Washington, DC area, and for encouraging the development of golf for African-Americans during the 20th century. Langston is home of the Capital City Open, a pro-am tournament that has attracted celebrities such as Bob Hope, President Ford, and Joe Louis, as well as professional African-American golfers. Bordered by the National Arboretum and Anacostia River, the 6,652 yard, 18-hole course retains its historical layout. Langston's front nine - on the National Register of Historic Places - offers a memorable trip up the third fairway to the Joe Louis Tree.
